We’re Mark and Sandra Hosking, the artists behind Sunflower Glass Studio NZ, based in Whitianga, Coromandel. Our studio is dedicated to the soulful beauty of glass and the memories it can preserve.

We offer a unique and deeply meaningful service: memory orbs, handcrafted using genuine Effetre 104 glass from Murano, Italy, which encapsulate a small portion of beloved whanua (family), friend or pets’ ashes. These pieces can be worn close to the heart as necklaces, earrings, bracelets, or keyrings—or displayed at home in display cases—as luminous symbols of love and remembrance.

Each orb is a whisper of joy, a celebration of life, and a way for families to keep their cherished loved ones or companions close, always.

Process

Choose your colours, contact us for exactly what you want

Send 2 teaspoons of ashes to us (we return what we don't use).

We will make your orb using swirls of colour mixing ashes in and coating with clear glass and return the item in a maximum of 4 weeks

Colour selection
